No. A press that stamps foil into containers is the heart of the line, but it cannot run alone. The foil has to be fed, the containers stacked, and — the part almost nobody plans for — the scrap has to go somewhere. As the press cuts each container, edge scrap falls away continuously. The scrap aspirator collects it at the source and conveys it away, instead of letting it pile up around the die area. Without it, an operator stops what they're doing to clear scrap by hand — which means either hiring a second person per line or accepting constant interruptions to a machine that's capable of 35–68 strokes per minute.
